Tower Hamlets has one of the most concentrated post-war and modern housing stocks in London — large 1960s and 70s council estates (Boundary, Bethnal Green Gardens, Lansbury, Will Crooks), a substantial Victorian and Edwardian terraced stock across Bow, Stepney and Whitechapel (much converted to flats), and the most intense concentration of new-build flats anywhere in London at Canary Wharf, Wapping, Limehouse and the Isle of Dogs.
